Restoring the Republic...

This post is in response to several people that have asked me to cite solutions. I agree with them - it's easy to say we need to cut this or end that, but what solutions are there? I am not pretending to have all the answers, but I have some suggestions to give. Many of these ideas are not unique, as many in the CP and libertarian movements have made these suggestions for a long time.

I will try to make this essay mostly links, or at least point you towards other sources, so that you can at least have the opportunity to research for yourself and find your own conclusions.

ECONOMIC REFORMS:
One of the most misunderstood and poorly explained subjects is our monetary system and how it's managed. You can find plenty of books or movies that can help explain these subjects.

Return the dollar to the gold standard – This is necessary for our nation's survival. From our earliest days, our Founders understood the danger of using paper currency backed by NOTHING. That's our current situation, though. Backing our money with gold will strengthen it, stabilize it, and control our government spending (one major reason why politicians are not recommending this idea). If our dollar was still backed with gold, an item that cost $100 in 2006 would have cost $4.96 in 1913! And an item that cost $100 in 1913 (when we created the Federal Reserve) would cost $2014.81 in 2006! People's ,oney also increased in value as gold increased - an item that cost $100 in 1820 would have cost only $63.02 in 1913.

Our money hasn't been this weak since our "continentals" were released during the Revolution! To see how our inflation rate has skyrocketed due to the Fed and Congressional spending, go here. To learn more about how the gold standard was destroyed and how our current monetary system was established, go here - you'll be surprised to see that our current system is less than 40 years old! And wait until you see the debt chart! It took us 300 years to spend our first trillion dollars. Our latest trillion dollars? That was spent in the last 4 1/2 months! Learn about how massive our debt is here.

Abolish the Federal Reserve – The Federal Reserve is a banking cartel that controls our economy. Article 1 Section 8 of our Constitution gives Congress the right to "coin Money [and] regulate the Value thereof." Since they've never amended the Constitution, the creation and use of the Federal Reserve is unconstitutional. If that's not enough of a reason, please learn more about the Fed. Don't be fooled by the name - the Fed is not part of the federal government. It is a collection of banks. The government agrees to fund whatever project it is (let's say the war). That budget request goes to the US Treasury who will then print treasury bonds in the requested amount and sell them. Sometimes these bonds are bought by foreign banks and countries (like China), but most of the time, these bonds are bought by the Federal Reserve. Where does the Federal Reserve get the money to buy these bonds? They create it. That's all! They print/create the money. Nothing backs it and they can create money whenever it's needed! Don't you wish you could do that? Now, take this knowledge with you as you read the next part...

Report M3 data – One of the biggest factors of inflation is how many dollars are floating around in our system. The more dollars available, the less they are worth. The scary thing is that our federal government no longer tracks that data! Believing that it's not important, which defies most modern-day economic logic, the government doesn't keep track anymore. And keep this in mind - every time the Federal Reserve lowers the interest rate, that releases more dollars into our system! Learn more about how the Federal Reserve creates money here. Learn more about the creation (and danger) of the Fed in the movie, Fiat Empire. To see the website of a man that still keeps track of our M3 data, go here.

Abolish our "three-book" budget system - Our government gives itself permission to have three sets of books for their budget. You can learn about how the government selectivly reports economic data here. I assure you - you'll be blown away! You can also learn about it in Ron Paul's book, Glenn Beck's book, and in this interview with the former head accountant of the United States. We must have honest reporting of our economic data so that we can make smart decisions regarding the long-term health of our economy.

Allow the market to decide the interest rate – Currently, the Fed controls the interest rate. When you hear about them lowering or raising the interest rate, it is the rate charged when one bank lends money to another bank. Lower rate=more spending=higher inflation=rising prices. Of course, higher rates cause the opposite effect. The problem is that this is deliberate market manipulation. The wrong decision, or an overreactive decision, could cause economic turmoil. Fooling with the market can help create the bubbles we always here about (learn about it here) and no matter what the Fed decides, there will always be a market correction at a later time. If you allow the market - you know, capitalism - to dictate what this interest rate should be, you have an honest, accurate rate that will stop our banks from overlending and will also help prevent those bubbles that Congress is bailing us out from.

Pay off national debt – Our current federal debt stands at roughly $56 trillion. First, learn how massive a trillion is. Now learn about our debt. Now learn about how our failure to save - politically and personally - is going to destroy our Republic.

Our federal government owns roughly 650 million acres of land, including our national parks, military bases, energy reserves, and landmarks. Most of the land, however, is never going to be used by the government. This land should be returned to the States where it belongs. This land can then be sold to help pay off the state and national debts. For instance, we could enact a new homestead act. If the government sold just 30% of this land at $500/acre, that would amount to roughly $97.5 billion! You can read more about it here. If the states decide to hold onto the land, use it, or sell it, it is for the states to decide - it's their land.

Whether you do this idea or not, our debt is a massive problem and needs to be paid off. Our Founders believed in doing that and we should believe in it as well. We need to cut spending by reducing the power of the federal government to its Constitutional limits. If we need to make it a law, then we must pass a Balanced Budget amendment, although it's a crime that it would have to go this far. Whatever we decide, just remember that we pay roughly $1.4 billion every day only in interest on our national debt.

Abolish the IRS and federal income taxes – At first, I was skeptical about getting rid of the income tax and replacing it with nothing. How could we exist after that? The truth is, if we ended the income tax today, it would cut federal funding by 40%. If you think that's extreme, then think of it this way. If we slashed today's federal budget by 40%, it would return us to the budget we had way back in...1997.

If you coupled that with abolishing the Fed (preventing the government from just printing more money), then Congress would be forced to control its spending. So where would the funds come from? The same place it came from for roughly 300 years - tariffs, corporate profits, and the States. Again, I used to think tariffs were an outdated method that was no longer practiced, but I found out that wasn't true. Most countries, but not the US, place "value added taxes" on imported products, pricing imports higher than their own products. I don't care what you call it, the reality is that it's a tariff. Read more about it here. And learn how you might not have to pay income taxes here.

GOVERNMENT SPENDING:
Privatize social security – We do not have enough workers to provide for our current retirees. Can you imagine how it will be in 20 or 30 years? Whether you support social security or not, we can all agree that the system is bankrupt. We need to phase out social security, keeping in mind the many people collecting or set to collect. After paying into it for a lifetime, we cannot just pull the rug out from under these people. But we need to pick a certain date or age as the cutoff, allowing those people to invest their savings in personal accounts, such as 401(k)s, IRAs, etc. Don’t trust the government with your retirement. Read about the formation of social security in the great book ‘The Forgotten Man.’ Also, see the proof for yourself - there are not enough workers to pay for the baby boomers.

Cut Medicare/Medicaid – This is another program that people depend on, but is also a drain on our nation. According to David Walker, the ex-comptroller of the GAO, by the year 2040 the entire federal budget will be required in order to pay for just social security and Medicare. Whether you need it or not, this is another handout that we must understand is bankrupt. We cannot afford to maintain such a system without massive taxation of the American public – even specifically targeting the famous “richest 1%” will not provide us with the funding we need. We need to reform the American healthcare system in order to bring medical costs down, thus allowing all of us to have access to affordable and reasonable healthcare. By 2040, roughly 40% of our entire private-sector output will be needed to fund Medicare and Social Security. Mr. Walker believes the only way to prevent our collapse would be to cut federal spending by 60% or by doubling federal taxes. Which one would you rather have?

End foreign aid – While we are borrowing $2 billion every day in order to make ends meet, we’re also donating tens of billions of dollars to foreign nations in federal aid. Although I have a certain affinity towards some nations, such as Israel, it is not the role of the federal government to take your money through taxes and donate it to foreign governments – especially ones that you may not support yourself. Americans donated over $300 billion last year, much more than the federal government gave, so even ending foreign aid will not stop Americans from sharing their money with nations and causes that they support. One must also remember that most of our Founders cautioned supplying foreign aid for these very reasons. They foresaw the damage we could do by picking sides, showing favoritism financially or otherwise. Find out how much we spend in foreign aid here.

Reduce our world military presence – We currently have military bases in 130 countries, giving us a world presence that exceeds any other nation in history. The cost of maintaining such a presence is draining us financially. It is overstretching our military and is causing us to be involved in foreign affairs much more than we should be. We still have our military stationed in Germany and Japan, yet have convinced ourselves that we will be able to remove our presence from Iraq. We need to maintain a high quality, powerful military that will obliterate any threat to us, but we also need to return to our philosophy of fighting defensive wars. Our Constitution gives the president and Congress the ability to effectively fight our enemies, foreign and domestic, and we can do that without 700 bases around the world. While we should not have our military scattered throughout the world, we should also still maintain a military that strikes fear in all who challenge us.

If you read this essay, you can see that by slashing some of our current spending (like within the above four areas), we can save our nation at least $2 trillion a year!

TRADE POLICIES:
End US involvement in NAFTA, CAFTA, WTO, GATT, etc. – Just based upon the constitutionality of the agreements, we should end our current trade agreements such as NAFTA, CAFTA, the WTO, and others. In this essay, I describe how unfair many of these trade agreements are for the United States. Also, in this essay, I describe how these trade agreements have made even “buying American” a nearly impossible task. Congress is the only body given permission by our Constitution to create trade agreements. They are not permitted to divvy out these duties to other bodies or to create policies through other agreements. These organizations and trade agreements make policies that can be counterproductive to US interests and we need, deserve, and demand for these issues to occur in the open forum of our Congress.

NATIONAL SECURITY:
Build border fences on both borders – There is a substantial amount of evidence (and common sense) that proves the dangers of having unprotected borders. We have constant stories of the horrific crimes that occur due to the drug trade, such as a story that 12 headless bodies were just found in Mexico. We must protect America and we can never be successful doing that unless we seal both borders with double-layer fencing and instead of imprisoning our Border Patrol, we allow them to do their jobs.

End the Patriot Act – I never thought I’d be saying it, but I have been convinced in the necessity of ending the Patriot Act. It is dangerous to give the government, especially one branch of government, so much power. September 11 would not have been prevented because of anything that is included within this Act – what caused our problems was a lack of common sense. Terrorist or not, if someone is taking flying lessons and not learning how to land, you call the authorities! We can effectively fight terrorism is we use common sense and our already existing laws. In true American form, we create new laws instead of enforcing existing ones.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) of 1978 already gives the government the power to do many of the provisions the Patriot Act requested. If it was thought inadequate, no attempt was made to amend FISA and the current Attorney General Alberto Gonzales testified that no attempt was made because they didn't think it would win Congressional approval! It gets cloudier because many of the acts the president has been committing were said to have been authorized by the 2001 Authorization to Use Military Force (AUMF). If that is true, many other provisions of the Patriot Act would be unnecessary. And why would they consider amending FISA when the AUMF supposedly already gave them authority as well? There's too many open-ended situations and loopholes that could easily be abused by any administration of any Party.

As further proof of the potential for abuse, when the AG Gonzales was questioned by the Senate whether the Bush Administration had engaged in domestic wiretapping or carried out warrantless searches of people's homes or correspondence, he answered, "Not under the program in which I'm testifying." These activities would go "beyond the bound of the program which I'm testifying about today." Answered just like a lawyer.

The Patriot Act, violating the Constitution, allows searches and seizures of American citizens and their property without a warrant issued by an independent court and based upon probably cause. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Courts may issue warrants for individual records, including medical and library records, can do so secretly, and the person that turns over the records are not permitted to ever speak of the search. The attorney general, with no judicial oversight, is given the power to write "national security letters" that orders holders of any of your personal records to hand them over for government examination - and you would have no way of ever knowing this was done.

The word "terrorism" can be redefined and abused; political opponents and outspoken critics can easily be silenced or tormented through these measures. We cannot give government these open-ended powers.

End the SPP/NAU – If you read this essay and the book ‘The Late, Great, USA’ you will learn a lot about the North American Union. Many business leaders and politicians in Canada, Mexico, and the US want to create a union much like the present day EU and there is unending proof of this. You can also find a tremendous amount of information from the John Birch Society and from places like the NAU War Room.

Withdraw from the UN – The United States cannot benefit from this organization. Populated by socialist and despotic governments, the UN is self-serving, corrupt, and a danger to US sovereignty. We need to get out of the UN and get the UN out of the United States.

GOVERNMENT REFORMS:
Return of states’ rights – Our states are here because the lower the level of government, the more receptive it will be to your concerns. Do you think you’ll be heard better in a stadium or in a living room? The truth is that one city on the Potomac cannot effectively or fairly govern a Nation of 300 million people. The needs and desires of the people of Alaska are different than the people of Florida; they are different from the people of Wyoming, and so on. Every state can better govern itself because every state is unique. Our Constitution, through the tenth amendment, protects the ability of every state to govern itself. Plus, there are countless documents of our Founders that ensure the belief that we are a Nation of free and independent states. Federal spending decreases as we increase the states’ abilities to govern themselves without federal oversight. If you read the Federalist and anti-Federalist Papers, you can see what our Founders envisioned. In Federalist Paper #45, it was said, “The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.”

It’s very simple to explain. Read Article 1, Section 8 of our Constitution – if Congress is trying to do something that does not fall into this list, then they are overstepping their boundaries and their actions are therefore unconstitutional. As it says in the tenth amendment, any issue or duty that has not been given to Congress by the Constitution – and that hasn’t been forbidden by the Constitution – is an issue for the States and the People to decide. It’s plain and simple.

End campaign finance reform – This is an attack on our first amendment guarantee of free speech. We’ve seen the architect, John McCain, abuse it in the 2008 primaries and its passage has done nothing to reduce the money and influence of special interests in Washington DC. All that it’s done is restrict your free speech and it must be repealed.

No fairness doctrine – The fairness doctrine is another method the federal government can control what opinion is broadcast to the public. With a new version to include control of the internet, regardless of your political party, you must stand against the passage of the fairness doctrine.

Use the Constitution to combat the court system – Our Constitution gives us the ability to counteract the damage that can be done by the Supreme Court. Do not forget that our Founders wanted all three branches equal to one another. The Supreme Court does not have the right to have the final say, overpowering the other two branches. Supremacy by any one branch over the other two is unconstitutional and dangerous. Article III, Section 2 of our Constitution allows Congress to strip the federal courts (including the Supreme Court), of jurisdiction over broad categories of cases. This would assist the states in reasserting their constitutional right to decided cases for themselves – such as abortion, energy exploration, and more.

Demand the Senate vote on judicial appointments – We currently have 44 judicial vacancies on the federal level, with some vacancies dating back to 1994! There are also 101 nominees in the entire court system waiting for Senate confirmation. The Senate is failing to fulfill their constitutional obligation to confirm or deny these appointments and the American people must pressure the Senate to do their job.

Congressional term limits – Whether a member of Congress is good or bad, our Founders did not believe in career politicians. It was an honor and duty to serve, but was not your full-time job or your career. It is impossible to successfully change the atmosphere in Washington unless you get rid of the vermin that are causing all of the problems. There are many great people serving in Congress, but many of them are only in power to stay in power. Get rid of everyone with term limits.

Dissolve the Department of EducationEffort-based education. Sex education in elementary school. Free condoms. Free birth control pills for sixth graders. Revisionist history that paints our Founders, Nation, and culture as racist, sexist, and outdated. The assault on Judeo-Christian values and the freedom to express them. The indoctrination of children into the cults of global warming, environmentalism, socialism, and hedonism. There are unending reasons why our students have some of the lowest test grades in the world and there are just as many reasons to support school choice and homeschooling. The Department of Education has done nothing to help our children and have only assisted in making things worse. Bad teachers still have their jobs, the teachers union still controls local education, and good teachers are still underpaid. Our educational system needs to change. Your children are yours, not the state's, and you should have control over their education & not the other way around.

Dissolve the Department of Energy – The federal government should not be in control of our natural resources – especially when they refuse to use them. The states can do the job much better, knowing where and where not to pursue energy. The federal government has not built a new nuclear plant in over 30 years, we are running out of room to store our current spent nuclear fuel, we do not drill for the oil we have or use the tremendous amount of coal we have. Read about the problem and some solutions here.

Demand one bill/one subject & federal cost posting - One of the best ways to combat special interests, earmarks, pork, and any other rosy euphemisms for bribes, blackmail, and waste would be to make it the law that each bill proposed by Congress can only pertain to one subject; no more multi-paged amendments, strange add-ons, and strategic changes. We should also make it the law that every bill must have its cost posted and that it is illegal to give more money for that same project. If Congress said it will cost $10 million to do whatever, and it turns out it will really cost $30 million…guess what? It’s shut down. You wasted our money and you’re not getting a penny more. Do the job right or don’t do it at all! The official wording of the provision – which was in the Confederate Constitution almost 150 years ago – states: All bills appropriating money shall specify in Federal currency the exact amount of each appropriation and the purposes for which it is made; and Congress shall grant no extra compensation to any public contractor, officer, agent, or servant, after such contract shall have been made or such service rendered.

HEALTH CARE:
Privatize the industry – Government ruins everything it touches – why would we want them in charge of 1/8 of our economy? The fact is that capitalism and common sense can fix our healthcare problem.

In the 1970s, government created HMOs in order to keep health costs down. Unlike all of your other insurance policies, which protect you when something major happens, we must purchase health insurance even for our basic checkups. Our insurance companies charge us a monthly premium based upon the limits of our coverage that we’re willing to accept. Because insurance companies are a business, they want to keep costs down and routinely deny people the payments for various drugs, treatments, and procedures. We are forced to use other medications or are denied because our aliment is a “preexisting condition.” Because of these roadblocks, doctors and patients often cannot get the best treatment for the problem. With insurance companies (or the government) paying the bills and doctors worried about their next lawsuit, many doctors try to maximize their costs and will order every possible treatment and test. There is no incentive to keep costs low, the HMOs are charged the maximum, and we are left to pay the price. So we get high costs and low-quality treatment. This is because of previous government intervention – why should we let them control even more?

The government, through the HMO Act of 1973, forces all but the smallest employers to offer HMO coverage to their employees. I like the suggestions of Congressman Ron Paul: Patients and doctors should be able to withdraw from the current system through medical savings accounts. Consumers can then spend pre-tax dollars to pay for their healthcare expenses with patients negotiating directly with the doctor, leaving the government and insurance companies out in the cold. The doctor gets paid right away instead of months from now in the payment cycle of an insurance company that may or may not allow the charges to be applied. Most families would then be able to afford routine expenses and insurance should return to its original role – a safety net for those unforeseen emergencies. With that, costs come down. Proof of this is contained in the Congressional testimony of Dr. Robert Berry. Dr. Berry opened a low-cost clinic in Tennessee that did not accept insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. This allowed the doctor to treat patients without the hoops of insurance companies or government restrictions. He and his patients can then decide upon the most effective treatment without the fear of being denied payment. His patients could pay for their regular office visits with cash and their insurance, used only for serious injuries and illnesses, remained inexpensive. The doctor would often charge $35 for routine visits, which allowed low-income families to receive medical care and allowed all of his patients to receive care before their issues turned into expensive emergencies. The government didn’t solve the problem, the people did. Capitalism works.

IMMIGRATION REFORM:
Amend the 14th Amendment establishing birthright citizenship – After the Civil War, the 14th Amendment was passed to ensure the rights of newly freed blacks. Many politicians in the South were attempting to twist the law, like by saying that all male citizens could vote…but seeing as how blacks were never considered citizens, it would be a clever loophole used to deny them their rights. So one of the things this amendment did (coupled with the 15th Amendment) was ensure that these racist loopholes could no longer exist by declaring that all people born within the United States would be considered a citizen – birthright citizenship.

Fast forward to today’s time and we have millions of immigrants – legal and illegal – taking advantage of this important amendment by purposely having children inside the US. This is a strain on our already bankrupt system and is an immoral abuse by people trying to take advantage of US freedoms. Since this is an amendment, I feel the only constitutional way to change this is by another amendment. Unfortunately, like with all things, abuse by dishonest people have made it necessary to change a provision that was originally needed. We should no longer guarantee birthright citizenship unless the parents are American citizens or at least legal residents.

Fix the visa/legal immigration system – One of the most hard-to-understand realities is that many people want to come to America only to harvest our dollars and send them back home. In the past, immigrants came from around the world to become Americans and live the American dream. In today’s time, many still do, but our government has made it so it isn’t necessary to become citizens. We’ve given so many rights to illegals, depending on the state, that many do not feel the difference between being legal or not. And the fact remains that even if they were given amnesty, many would still happily return to their native country. They want our money, not our American dream, and we have a choice to make – allow this to legally continue or stop it entirely. If we allow it to legally continue, then we must revamp our system in order to handle the demand. Our visa system is so slow and outdated that it is an embarrassment, although since it is the government, we shouldn’t be surprised by its slow speed!

Many immigrants come here to be migrant workers, applying for the paperwork needed to work in the United States. If we need these workers, we need to make their application procedure quicker and more accurate. As for the people that may overstay, if there are no jobs or benefits for being illegal, people will return home. And for the people that want to visit the United States, to have to wait for months and pay a couple hundred American dollars – with no guarantee of entry – is unfair, outdated, and needs to be changed. Who would want to do anything the legal way when it is biased, clumsy, and slow?

Massive punishment for all that hire illegal aliens - Illegal immigrants are slaves. They are abused through unsafe workplaces, unsanitary conditions, tremendous work hours, and through a lack of worker protection – they do not have unemployment benefits, medical insurance, or legal rights. My sympathy only goes so far because this reality is all self-inflicted – this is happening because you chose it for yourself and your family. That, however, does not make their treatment right. The companies and individuals that hire illegals must be punished to the furthest extent of the law. Massive, crippling fines need to be imposed for every illegal hired. Licenses must be taken away. The police confiscate the property of drug dealers if the property was used to commit a crime and company property should be confiscated as well. The punishment for breaking federal immigration laws, evading taxes, human rights abuses, and encouraging the breaking of federal immigration laws should be so massive that companies will finally be convinced that they are one of the main reasons for our massive illegal immigration problem. If the companies wouldn't hire them, and the government wouldn’t take care of them, our illegal immigration problem would be solved. Until we do these things, while also building our fences, we will continue to pay out billions of dollars in healthcare to illegals while also letting drug traffickers, killers, rapists, and terrorists into our country unchecked. Read about the costs, realities, and dangers of our current border policies: Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
This list is far from complete. As I read, I learn and there will always be times when I discover new and/or better solutions that I will support and recommend. You should do the same – read these links, but don’t just take our word for it. Read, listen, learn, and objectively decide for yourself what you think the solution should be.

I think third parties are an important part of the solution, as our current two-party system is broken beyond belief. I am not a party man, even though I have been pushing the Constitution Party. I believe in the CP and am a proud member, but I will always value my principles before my party. I believe you can find the solution in many places; search and find where you belong. If it is not a party, then look into the different organizations that are dedicated to the same things, such as the John Birch Society. Embrace wonderful celebrations of liberty, such as the Free State Project.

As I’ve discovered third parties and organizations dedicated to returning our Nation to its constitutional boundaries, I have also discovered a dark underside to this movement; people motivated by their hatred, paranoia, and distrust of the government – extremists, anarchists, 9/11-Truthers. It undermines our efforts and trivializes our constitutional concerns if our movement is filled with such people and I will always loudly distance myself from such characters. Government is capable of many things, including the blatant massacre of its own people, but I will never be able to believe that about our own government no matter how much I want to change things. The day our government is as evil as Hitler, Stalin, or Mao is the day I find a new government – or, as one guy said, a compound in Wyoming.

My final suggestion is for you to surround yourself with the writings of our Founders. You can find a great collection here, here, and here. Read the debates from the Constitutional Convention and find all the speeches, books, and information that you can – the more autobiographical, the better. Learn about their brilliance (like with the Electoral College) and appreciate the unique, inspiring system that we have.

If you have their own words, and in their actual context, you will see what they saw and can figure out your own opinions. Many people protest the religious overtones that our Party carries, but if anyone doubts the religious dedication that our Founders had, then they haven’t read the works of our Founders. Even if you are not religious, it is unmistakable that free people should exhibit restraint and conduct themselves morally if they are to experience true freedom. To me, freedom is not prostitution, drugs, and anarchy – that’s just another form of slavery.

This is my last full-length essay for a long time, as I have just entered school. It is a blessing to be able to attend and, although my constitutional passion remains the same, I must dedicate my energy to my studies. I hope one day to get involved in the John Birch Society, since their research into the assaults on our freedoms is invaluable. The sad fact is that I may not have the time to be as politically active for quite a long time.

Regardless, we should always keep learning and stay focused. Always have your eyes and ears ready for anything and don’t let the press or the government get away with lying to you.

Stay vigilant and we will succeed. Be motivated by your love of freedom, not your hatred for government. Once we are motivated by hatred, our cause is dead.
